I don’t see the Agent Application

The Agent Application is runs in the Apple Menu Bar. Look for the Strada icon. The Strada Agent application is necessary to select drives and designate them for accessing them in the Strada web application (in Chrome). The Strada Agent application will automatically launch with every restart.

If you are on an Apple laptop computer and are unable to see the Strada icon in the Apple Menu Bar, it is possible that it is hidden behind the laptop camera. Simply close a few other apps running in the Apple Menu Bar and you should see the Agent. You can use the keys COMMAND + CLICK to drag the Strada Agent icon further to the left so it is not hidden behind the camera.

I deleted the Agent. How do I get it again?

Go to strada.tech and login to your account. If you have not yet connected an Agent, you should see a blank screen with a blue button that allows you to download the Agent.

If you have already been invited by other collaborators to their Agents, you’ll see their dries in the SHARED WTIH ME section. To download a fresh Agent application, click the “+” button in the upper right of the navigation panel and that will automatically bring you to the Agent download screen where you can install a new Agent.

My Strada Agent quits unexpectedly

If you launch the Strada Agent application and it keeps quitting, it is likely due to a bug in Apple OS when you have more than 1 monitor connected to your computer. Simply unplug all external monitors and then relaunch the Strada Agent and it should no longer quit on its own. Now you can reconnect your external monitors and this error should not repeat in the future.

My Strada Agent is blinking RED and GREEN

When you click on your agent you choose login and it will automatically launch a webpage. After you hit CONFIRM, if your Strada Agent is blinking RED and GREEN, it means that the Agent is having trouble establishing a connection. Check that you are online and have a stable internet connection. Next, RIGHT + CLICK on the Agent and select QUIT and restart the Agent from scratch. If you still have a RED light, RIGHT + CLICK on the Agent, select “Troubleshoot” and navigate to the log. You can take that log and send it to [email protected] for our team to review.

I can’t play assets from my drives

If you can login to Strada and navigate through your connected drives but no assets display in the the thumbnails or the player, it likely means your network configuration is not working. Here are some things you can try:

  1. Disable Chrome Extensions (Temporarily)

Go to chrome://extensions/ Disable all extensions Refresh Strada and try again If it works, re-enable extensions one-by-one to find the culprit

  1. Turn off any active VPN connections

  2. Check your Chrome Site Settings

Go to chrome://settings/content Under: Cookies and Site Data → Allow local file access Protected Content → Ensure media streaming is allowed Insecure Content → Allow on localhost or your local IP Reload the Strada tab and test

  1. Run in Incognito Mode

Launch Chrome in Incognito mode (Cmd+Shift+N / Ctrl+Shift+N) Load Strada without any extensions or cached settings

  1. Try a Clean Chrome Profile

Create a new Chrome profile: Click profile icon > Add new profile Load Strada and test again This helps rule out corrupted or strict profile policies

  1. Check for Antivirus or Firewall Interference

Temporarily disable: Windows Defender / macOS Gatekeeper Any third-party firewall or antivirus (Bitdefender, Avast, etc.) Retry the Strada stream If it works, whitelist GStreamer and your streaming port

  1. Test with Another Browser (Safari or Firefox)

Try running Strada on a Chromium-based browser like: Edge Brave (disable Shields) Opera This helps determine if the issue is Chrome-specific or OS-lev

  1. Verify Localhost and Port Availability

Confirm that your system isn’t blocking localhost or loopback Open a terminal and run: curl http://127.0.0.1:<your-stream-port> You should see a response; if not, something is blocking the port

  1. Consult your IT department and explore if WebRTC streams are blocked
